Claims for Two Sisters Resolves

Personal Injury, Decisions and Settlements

Michael Yawney QC, resolved the claims for two sisters injured as young children when their parents minivan was hit from behind on Hwy 97 over 8 years ago.
They had both forgotten about the claims that their parents had asked Mr. Yawney to take care of. They both were doing well, but there was evidence of several months of emotional upset and physical injuries after the accident.
Their claims were resolved for over $40,000.00.

We are so proud to be sponsors of the Enterprize Challenge, and annually contribute legal gift certificates to the top three winners.
This entrepreneurship competition organized by Community Futures, is designed to give new and start up businesses the chance to ‘pitch’ their business idea to a panel of judges, similar to the popular tv show, Dragons Den.
The Congratulations to Locality, Think Tank and Steakholder! We can’t wait to work with you!

Illegal Left Hand Turn Causes Accident and Results in a Claim

Personal Injury, Decisions and Settlements

A woman in her 50’s was injured when she drove off the road trying to avoid a vehicle that was turning illegally on a highway in the East Kootenays near Creston, BC. The offending driver was a Manitoba resident in a Manitoba insured vehicle.  The client suffered soft tissue injuries that took her off work for several months.
After extensive treatment she was able to return to work and her career in environmental engineering. Mr. Yawney, working with an Alberta lawyer that retained him to pursue the claim, resolved the claim for over $200,000.00.
