Nixon Wenger LLP Christmas Families


Annually the lawyers and staff at Nixon Wenger LLP collect donations and give a local family/families a Christmas filled with presents and gift cards for groceries. This year we teamed up with the North Okanagan Youth and Family Services Society, to find a family in need that would be match for the Firm.  
A huge thank you to everyone at Nixon Wenger who donated, shopped, wrapped, and more for this annual fundraiser! 

Greater Vernon Chamber of Commerce Christmas Lunch

 Nixon Wenger LLP annually attends the very popular Greater Vernon Chamber of Commerce Christmas Lunch. Over 200 members come together to support various charities as well as help raise funds to continue the programs of the Chamber.

Downtown Vernon Treat Trail

 Annually Nixon Wenger participates in the Downtown Vernon Treat Trail, where over 200 kids usually visit our office as they make their to various businesses downtown. We always have such a blast seeing everyone dressed up! See you next year! 

Little Black Dress Party


Nixon Wenger LLP was proud to sponsor and attend the 5th Annual Little Black Party hosted by the Vernon Women’s Transition House Society. 
This event raises funds that stay within the Vernon community, and provides support to the much needed programs that assist local women and children.

Dancing with the Vernon Stars

The Dancing with the Vernon Stars event is the North Okanagan Hospice Society’s Annual fundraiser and we were happy to sponsor and have 2 teams from Nixon Wenger participate in the 10th Anniversary.  
The event was a huge success and raised just over $135,000.00 (after expenses)!

Donation to the BC 55+ Games

We are proud to support this years 55+ Games with a $2,500 donation. From September 12-16, over 3500 athletes, officials & supporters, and over 1200 volunteers and fans will converge upon Vernon & Area for one of the largest community celebrations sport has seen in many years.  
 
This annual event showcases the outstanding athleticism of BC competitors 55+ and promotes the benefits of leading an active, healthy lifestyle.

$14,000.00 Donation to the Allan Brooks Nature Centre

James Cotter recently gave a $14,000 donation on behalf of Nixon Wenger LLP to Aaron Deans of the Allan Brooks Nature Centre Society. We are proud to make this contribution over a 3 year period to the development of programs at the Centre including the Raptors! Some of our lawyers and staff were able to participate in a Raptor Encounter this year, and it was fabulous! Thank you Aaron and all the staff at Allan Brooks, we look forward to working with you over the coming years!

Vernon Mayor Akbal Mund, was spotted at our Braintrust Fundraising BBQ with our Partner, James Cotter today! Thanks for stopping by and help raise close to $1,500 for bike helmets for Vernon kids. We were proud sponsors of this great event!

Have a Heart Radiothon 2017!

On behalf of the Partners, Associates and Staff at Nixon Wenger LLP we were pleased to contribute a combined donation of $1,000.00 to the Annual SunFM Have a Heart Radiothon on Thursday April 26th. 
Through donations from the community, this incredible fundraiser for the Vernon Jubilee Hospital Foundation, raises money to purchase equipment needed in the Women’s and Children’s Health Services Unit. 
This year’s goal is to raise funds for three NeoBLUE Radiometers and three CO2 monitors to support infants and children in hospital.
NeoBLUE radiometers provide a precise measurement of light in the blue spectrum, to ensure optimal phototherapy treatment for babies that present with newborn jaundice. CO2 monitors are used to closely observe the recovery of infants and children who have undergone procedures requiring sedation.
Stay tuned to hear how much was raised! What an incredible community we live in and we were so happy to be a part of this great cause.

On Friday March 10th the Greater Vernon Chamber of Commerce hosted the Annual Business Excellence Awards. These awards recognize and celebrate the achievements of our local business community, and Nixon Wenger LLP is proud to be a long standing supporter and sponsor of this event. This year we were pleased to present Nick Moffat of Nicholas Alexander Landscaping with the Young Entrepreneur of the Year Award.
